Kirsty McQue

My underwater photography projects have taken me across Byron Bay, Australia, Heron Island in The Southern Great Barrier Reef, Indonesia, The Philippines and Thailand. Throughout every photography project, I try to keep a strong sense of connection between us as humans and our natural world. Whether that is through my underwater portraits, brand work focused on ethical and sustainable solutions for our planet or through my own travels with marine life encounters. Most of my work is taken whilst free diving and occasionally on scuba, known for shooting in natural light with atmospheric compositions and minimal editing. My hope is to raise awareness and engage others with nature in a positive light as a way of celebrating our oceans beauty, so that we change our ways and behaviours to preserve our oceans before it is too late. Originally from the UK, the ocean is my home and dictates my lifestyle and whereabouts.
